PRIVATE PARTIES: LIVE MUSIC FOR A PARTY THAT'S YOURS
Private parties are honestly some of our favorite events. There's no seating chart, no "we have to start at 7 because the photographer leaves at 8." It's your space, your people, your rules. We probably won't wear our tuxedos. The music should reflect that.
Often when someone books Merlot Embargo for a private event, they already know us or know someone who does. They want music that's genuine, flexible, and actually good. Music that works for dancing if people want to dance, or for hanging out on the couch if people want to hang out on the couch.

How This Works
We'll talk to you about what you're imagining: your space, your crowd, what kind of energy you want. Then we show up, get things started, and adjust as the night unfolds. If someone yells out a request, we can often do it. If the vibe shifts halfway through, we move with it. We're not locked into a setlist; we're locked into making sure your party feels right.
Depending on your space and what you want, we might bring an acoustic duo, or the full band. A backyard with 50 friends calls for something different than a chill restaurant lunch gathering. We'll figure out what works.
The Best Part
Scarlet and Geoff are actual people. You're not hiring a corporate entity; you're hiring musicians who care about the moment. We'll probably stay for a drink after we pack up, babysitter timeline permitting. We'll definitely chat with your guests. We might recommend a song or let the birthday girl hop onto the mic and belt her favorite tune. It's a party, after all.

Yes! We have a wide repertoire of songs spanning decades and genres, but we're always happy to add more.
How much does all this cost?
Less than you might think, but our pricing depends on a few things. Best way to find out is to fill out the contact form and have a chat with us so we can understand what you need. Once we do that we'll send over a personalized quote ASAP.
What does setup/logistics look like?
For you, it couldn't be easier. We handle all the setup and sound equipment, lighting, etc. The only thing we need is the performance space, and power to plug our gear into.
How flexible are you with the vibe/energy?
We're pretty darn flexible and can adjust to whatever your party needs, even if it's after we've shown up and you're feeling like things should move in a different direction. We like having an idea beforehand, but we're always keeping our feelers out for how the music is landing.
