CONFIGURATIONS
We offer a few different lineup options depending on your event, venue, and vibe. Here's what each one sounds like and when it works best.
Acoustic (Duo or Trio)
Duo: Scarlet's voice and Geoff's guitar, with some backup vocals and simple percussion.
Trio: Add an upright bass for more groove and depth and ambiance.
Best for: Cocktail hours, intimate or medium-sized receptions, corporate events, restaurants—anywhere you want live music that doesn't require a full band. Works beautifully for dinner music or background performance. The trio adds more vibe and groove if you want it; the duo is more minimal.
Sound: Contemporary covers mixed with an occasional original. Warm, personal, intimate. We normally pull from this song list, but we always tailor our selections to fit the event.
Jazz Combo
Vocals, guitar, upright bass, and drums. Sometimes with a saxophone or other horn. Sometimes, without the drums, if we're trying to keep it simple and chill.
Best for: Upscale events, jazz-leaning audiences, receptions where you want sophistication and musicianship on display. Works in venues of all sizes, and helps create an elegant atmosphere.
Sound: Polished, instrumental-forward, with space for Scarlet's voice to shine in a different way. More dynamic range, more obvious musicianship. Jazz standards and pop songs arranged in a jazz style. Classy and polished.
Full Band
Vocals, guitar, bass, keys, drums. Maybe even a horn section for really big events.
Best for: Large receptions, dancing, high-energy corporate celebrations, anywhere you want to move a room. This is when you want presence and power.
Sound: Current, energetic, dance-floor focused. Full spectrum of sound. This is where we bring out the bangers and get folks moving.
Choosing the Right Configuration
Not sure which lineup is right for your event? Here are some questions to consider:
-
How many guests? What's the seating (or standing) arrangement? We tend to lean towards smaller ensembles for smaller crowds, but it's not a rule - we've done many parties with the full band for crowds as small as 20 people.
-
What's the vibe? Intimate and conversational? Sophisticated and polished? Celebratory and dance-focused?
-
What's the space? Intimate restaurant or home? Large ballroom or outdoor venue?
-
What kind of music do you want to hear? We can do any configuration with any style; it's really about what fits your moment.
We're happy to talk through what makes sense for your event!
