CORPORATE EVENTS: MUSIC THAT READS THE ROOM
The Right Music Changes Everything

A corporate event is a lot of things at once: a chance for your team to relax, a moment to build community, perhaps an opportunity to celebrate a win. The music helps set the tone. Get it wrong, and you've got people checking their phones during dinner. Get it right, and you've got people talking about it weeks later.

We want to help you get it right, so we tend to approach corporate entertainment slightly differently: it's less about playing through a predetermined setlist (though we normally start there) and more about paying attention to what the room needs as the evening unfolds.

How We Work Your Event

Welcome & Cocktail Hour
Guests arrive and settle in. You want a bit of energy: live music that feels current and engaging, but not so loud that people can't talk. We'll play contemporary covers, with an occasional upbeat original, keeping things sophisticated and fun.

Dinner
When conversation matters, we'll drop the volume, shift the mood. Scarlet's voice becomes more of the centerpiece, something that makes people put down their phones and listen. We're paying attention: are they leaning in? Do they want something different, or is this working?

Dancing (if that's your plan)
If the event's going that direction, we shift again. More energy, leaning on time-tested favorites folks know and move to.

Throughout, we're professionals. We coordinate with your team, show up early, handle our own setup, and disappear gracefully when it's time. We've worked alongside event planners, corporate coordinators, and venue staff, and we know how to be a partner, rather than a wild card.

What You're Actually Hiring

  • Musicians who read rooms. We've spent years watching audiences. We know when to play louder, quieter, faster, slower.

  • A partnership, not a transaction. We want to understand your event and your goals. That starts with a real conversation.

  • Professionalism. Fully insured, W-9 ready, happy to work with planning firms and agencies. We show up on time, prepared, and professional.

  • Flexibility. Acoustic duo for an intimate gathering. Full band with lights for a larger celebration. Somewhere in between. We've got the right lineup. (Read about our configurations here)

Setup & Logistics

We're flexible with space, power, and timeline. In our experience, typical corporate events work best with 2-ish hours of music, but we can adjust. We'll coordinate with your venue and team beforehand so there are no surprises.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do you coordinate with our event coordinator?

We're happy to work with your event coordinator on timing, setlist vibe, lineup, etc. Having someone with ideas on how the event should flow is actually one of the most helpful things for us, as it gives us a direction and a vision for what you care about at your event.

Can you provide music during breaks or transitions?

Of course! We know the flow of an event matters, so we're comfortable providing background music during breaks or transitions to keep things moving smoothly.

Can you adjust energy during the event (speeches, silent auctions, etc.)?

Yes! We are always sensitive to stage volume, and aren't above interrupting a song, or bringing down the intensity in the middle of a song or set.

Do you take requests?

Absolutely. We have over 150 songs in our set, so there's almost always something that fits your vibe. We're also happy to learn a few new ones if there's something specific that matters to you; just give us a heads up so we can prepare.

"Merlot Embargo played at a Wine Tasting event at our private clubhouse. During the planning process, they were so helpful and really wanted to make sure they understood what we wanted. They asked about song selection, attire and more to make sure it suited the event and audience. The event itself went over wonderfully with our members - it's been a few weeks and people are still talking about it! They played for two hours straight (bless them!). Even though we had heard videos of Scarlet's voice online, it did not compare to how beautiful she sounds in person. And Geoff sure played a mean guitar! Thanks a million to this adorable duo for a night to remember."
