It turns out it's harder to do than a first in some ways - you might have a collection of songs popping about for years, and they can all go into your first album without another thought,  And of course you use all the best ones and drop the others. 

Next time around, you don't have that luxury, since, a year or two or four ago, you used up all your good songs.  We're faced with the prospect of writing new music, making it better than the old music, and doing it in less time.   That's especially exciting, for lots of reasons, but primarily, it's awesome because we get to write specifically with the concept of an album in mind.
